What’s up, Internet! One thing to note before we get into the show notes: Shaun has been uploading his Let’s Plays on Fallout 4 on The EZPZ’s YouTube channel. Check those out if you haven’t yet. They are in glorious 1080p HD 60 FPS. Alright, let’s get into the show notes.

Ronda Rousey lost to Holly Holm! What a fun match to follow. The lemon heads share their thoughts on the match.

Electric Forest announced they are banning Native American headdresses for 2016. They will be looking at restricting totems, too.

He who will not be named said something else racist. What do you know?

ISIS claimed they would be issuing an attack at WWE’s pay-per-view event Survivor Series. Hacker collective, Anonymous, announced they will be shelling out attacks on ISIS.

Going back to activities/props being banned from music festivals, wubbing is something Dan does not think should be banned. Dan Is Pro-Wubbing.

Shia LaBeouf discusses how his love for himself only grew after his “Shia Watched Shia” event.

Our thoughts are with hardcore band, The Ghost Inside! They were in a horrific car accident which killed their driver and all the members sustained serious injuries.

At the time of this recording, Shaun was about 25 hours into Fallout 4. He showed Nick a few neat things in the game and they discuss some glitches and bugs Shaun’s found. Overall, Bethesda has done a top-notch job with ironing out all the bugs.

And rounding out the show, Nick wanted to discuss Justin Bieber’s antics at a skateboard park in Chicago.

Thanks for listening to the podcast! We have Alex Marean on EP020 of the show next week! Look for it soon!

HATE-MAIL? LOVE-MAIL? Any mail? Send it our way. We don’t bite and you’ll be on the show, I PROMISE!

What’s up, everybody! This week we have a very special episode of The EZPZ Podcast with co-host Ian Dunshee! You have probably heard about Ian before in some of #StealthModeDan’s stories. Ian is Dan’s best friend and brings a level-headed viewpoint to the table of lemon heads. The episode dives right into how Dan and Ian met, which included a really funny and sweet story of despising one another in study hall to sharing a stage in a high school pop-punk band. After discussing their small band, Shaun asked the table what they thought about Des Moines’ own, House of Bricks, shutting down somewhat recently. Some shared how they were happy and some shared that they will miss seeing small acts before they explode into big acts.

Ian is Dan’s best friend but until this summer, they had not see each other in over a year. Ian shared that he had been in Martinique, which is part of the Caribbean, studying archaeology. On the island of Martinique, he shared about how he was the reason people “tchip” in the streets. Ian discussed other things that were different about the culture in Martinique. He said that the music and party scene could not be more different than in the states.

Music Interlude: “It’s Carnival” by Destra

Dan gave us the mathematical lowdown on how biking is faster than walking. He started using the Des Moines Bcycle when out and about downtown which is a bicycle rental service. He gave the service two thumbs up and thinks people in Des Moines should use it more often. Ian just got back from RAGBRAI this last week and discussed how awesome of an experience it was for him. He got to see Cheap Trick and hang out with a bunch of fellow cyclists across the country. Ian wanted to make sure listeners do not think that to be a part of RABGRAI, you have to be a master cyclist.

Music Interlude: “Surrender” by Cheap Trick

Dan had another anxiety attack this past week. The anxiety/panic attack lead to a freaky occurrence at work between him and a customer. The lemon heads start talking about their own ghost stories. Dan goofed on Shaun for “not believing” in ghosts or paranormal activity. The stories shared by the lemon heads included a weirdo that claimed he “smelled something” while Ian was cooking in the community kitchen, stories about a high school friend of Ian and Dan’s who always had ghostly experiences and and Nick seeing a white figure standing at the door across the hall as a kid.

Music Interlude: “Ghostbusters” (Theme Song) by Ray Parker, Jr.

The Meek Mill and Drake drama really beefed up this week with Drake finally retaliating on OVO Sound Radio. The lemon heads discussed how they were happy Drake finally had a response after staying silent all week. Drake’s response was in the form of a track called “Charged Up”. All three hosts of the show thought Drake completely demolished Meek with this track. Ian thought the whole situation was about as mature as schoolyard fights, which the co-hosts could not exactly deny.

Music Interlude: “Charged Up” by Drake

Shaun wanted to discuss the incident at a concert in New Zealand, Earl Sweatshirt punched a fan that stormed the stage, tried to hug him and possibly take his mic. He wanted to ask the other lemon heads and Ian if he boys discussed how they think that it is pretty dumb that fans think they can storm the stage. It is one thing if the fan wants to crowd surf and stage dive, but that was not the case at an Earl Sweatshirt show in New Zealand. The lemon heads and Ian came to a consensus that they believe fan should not be storming the stage, period. This can create an unsafe environment for not only the artist and security but also fans. Security needs to be upped for certain acts and in this case security dropped the ball.

Music Interlude: “Wool” by Earl Sweatshirt

That’s a wrap! This was a very fun episode to record. What did you agree or disagree with in the show? Is there a host that you love, hate or love to hate? Shoot them all your love/hate mail to their email, Twitter and Instagram accounts below. Thank you so much for listening. We love doing the show and appreciate all of your support.

The EZPZ Podcast EP005: Bust

SEND US YOUR LETTERS ABOUT ANYTHING: TheEZPZPodcast@gmail.com

The lemon heads are back this week with episode 005 of The EZPZ Podcast. Shaun went on a long-weekend vacation to Chicago with his girlfriend, Lydia and her mother. The lemon heads discussed how vacations are fun but get us antsy to get back home and keep up with routines.

Interlude: “Me Dé Amor” by Sango

The EZPZ boys dove into some comic news this week including a sequel to the Fight Club story in comic form. It is being produced by Dark Horse Comics and being released on May 27th! Nick wanted to chat about some DC Comics shows that are being developed like Super Girl, which is coming to CBS in November, 2015. Legends of Tomorrow and Teen Titans are also coming from DC in the future. Then the EZPZ boys showed their little-to-no knowledge of the Lethal Weapon and Die Hard movies…

Interlude: “Stahp” by Djemba Djemba

Waka Flocka Flame was announced as the third headliner to the 515 Alive festival in Des Moines!

Interlude: “Bust” by Waka Flocka Flame

#StealthModeDan also stumbled onto Flocka’s new single that was done as a partnership with Porn Hub Records. The lemons listened the song, “Bust”, and then discussed how bad the music video and song ended up being.

Interlude: “TaDaTa” by Kaytranada

During the break, Nick brought up that he has been turning his phone on “Do Not Disturb” to keep from being bombarded with notifications all day. Your phone still gets updates in this mode, but doesn’t buzz/ring every time there is a new text, Facebook update, Twitter mention or Instagram double-tap.

We fell down the lemon hole a bit and Dan mentioned that he uses SnapChat to chit-chat with producers. It has become a good way for Dan to sort of get his foot in the door of being a producer. Then the lemon heads moved into a little music discussion. Dan spoke about how OSHI and Sam Gellaitry dropped some new tracks on their SoundCloud this week. Then the lemon brains spoke about creating art and making sure to revisit and revise it to ensure quality output.

Shaun and Nick chatted about The Story So Far’s new, self-titled album. Then they briefly discussed Turnover’s wonderful album, Peripheral Vision. Shaun said that “Dizzy On A Comedown” off of Peripheral Vision is one of his favorite tracks of the year.

Interlude: “To Earth & Back” (OSHI Remix) by Sam Gallaitry

Episode 003 of The EZPZ Podcast is ready for your earholes!

The EZPZ Podcast Episode 003

The lemon heads are back this with episode 003 this week! Your co-hosts Shaun Johnson, Nick Gandy and Dan Brown start off by gushing about how awesome the Brand New, Circa Survive were at 7 Flags Event Center. Then they chat about the issues with the venue and the problems with “will call” attendees. *Interlude: “Welcome to Bangkok” by Brand New The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was Saturday, May 2nd. The only lemon head that watched it, #StealthModeDan, found it online for free. We chat about the some of the attendees, the celebrity that wagered and lost $250,000 and how Mayweather is a smart, skillful, piece of shit. *Interlude: “Hot Jazzybelle” by Kaytranada After the discussion about the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, we realized we were recording the podcast on #StealthModeDan’s MacBook Pro mic instead of our Snowball mic. Dan put his sound engineering skills to good use and cleaned it up to make it sound pretty good. We apologize, but hey, who said we were pros? Then we dove into a discussion about the Avengers and the new movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Shaun went to see it with Lydia and thought it was pretty solid. Nick told us about how much he loves big, muscular superheroes and Mortal Kombat fighters. *Interlude: “Bombay” by Damn Kids The lemon heads then discussed the awesome technology that Tesla announced at their keynote in Los Angeles, California. The dudes discussed what they thought about the Powerwall and how Elon Musk is the baddest mother fucker walking the face of the Earth. *Interlude: “Rain” by Singularis Make sure you all keep the #StealthModeDan hashtag going! It’s going to be our little thing for a while. We let the listeners know about how we actually recorded our third episode on April 25th, but trashed it since it wasn’t up to par with episode 002. The Story So Far, Four Year Strong and Terror show is on Saturday, May 9th at Wooly’s in Des Moines, Iowa. Shaun and Nick are going to the show, so we discussed the bands on the bill. We also get a little nostalgic and chatted about August Burns Red and Bring Me the Horizon. *Interlude: “I Don’t Fuck With You” ft. E-40 by Big Sean That wraps up episode 003! Thank you for all of your support. We are working hard to iron out any kinks. We are learning as we go, but we are always happy to hear how we can improve our show. The EZPZ Podcast Episode 002

Your hosts, Shaun Johnson, Nick Gandy and Dan Brown are all back this week for episode 002 of The EZPZ Podcast. The lemonheads started off the episode with our weekly re-cap. The dudes chatted about the JEFF the Brotherhood/Bully show in Des Moines. Dan asked Shaun how his first 5K went.

Then the dudes dove into some listener letters and comments. Huge shout outs to Kyle (@kyle2314), Hunter (@Hunter_Whyle) and Nick (@TheFamousNickH) for the feedback! Shaun briefly spoke about the Omaha Maha Music Festival that “super fan” Nick asked about.

* http://www.mahamusicfestival.com

The Maha Music Festival is happening on the weekend August 15th the same weekend as the Summer Set Music Festival. Summer Set’s line-up was released this week and the lemonheads discussed their favorite artists on the list and some issues the festival has, according to past-year attendees.

* http://summersetfestival.com/2015/

HBO’s Game of Thrones came back this week with season five. We briefly (without spoiling anything) discussed our thoughts on the episodes and the fact that nearly half of season five leaked online. We briefly went into a Tyler, the Creator tangent with his new album, Cherry Bomb, which was released this week. Poor ol’ George “Rail Road” Martin got some “shade” from Shaun just before we got into a discussion about all the boobs and dick that is in Game of Thrones.

We hopped back into talking about Tyler, the Creator’s Cherry Bomb and how he hasn’t completely matured yet. Then we somehow fell down the rabbit hole of taboo words. Even though we aren’t social experts by any means, we made an attempt at discussing these forbidden words.

Tyler, the Creator’s “Smuckers” (feat. Lil Wayne, Kanye West) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0axc_WEPTt8

We closed out the episode with chatter about Brand New. They officially released a new track this week! The track, “Mene”, is wonderful and we all love it. We then discussed the possibility of them releasing a new album this year. Listen to us gush about the sold out Brand New/Circa Survive show that is on Saturday, April 25th at 7 Flags in Clive, Iowa.
